SALONE DEL MOBILE: “Flying Boxes”

03/04/2014

After the celebration of 50 years as manufacturer, Pedrali exhibits for the 26th time at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile and continues its mission to offer contemporary and functional furniture for public spaces, offices and homes.

The 2014 novelties consist of five new families and brand new models that enrich the Pedrali collection. They give prominence to the wood and the upholstered products, besides the plastic materials (Babila Tecnopolymer), using the technological innovation as a key aspect of every project. A family of wooden chairs (Tivoli), a group of upholstered armchairs (Log, Zippo, Ester Office, Laja Wings,  Laja Cantilever), newest barstools (Brera,  Babila,  Volt) and two sets of complements (Parenthesis,  Flag). Moreover, the first model dedicated to the world of kids, as a natural evolution of one of the best seller Pedrali plastic chairs (Snow Junior).

The cooperation with the designers continues: Odo Fioravanti, Patrick Jouin, Marc Sadler, Claudio and Marco Pocci, Alessandro Busana, Pio and Tito Toso, Michele Cazzaniga, Simone Mandelli and Antonio Pagliarulo. A new relationship has started with the trio Manuela Busetti, Andrea Garuti, Matteo Redaelli.

The concept of the stand designed by Migliore+Servetto Architects distinguishes for lightness and dynamism. Ten group of “Flying Boxes” open upwards in different volumes like “matryoshka dolls”. Such volumes are outlined by a thin wireframe that reveals the products of the new collections, as unique artwork installations like in art galleries. All around a double filter of curtains, lights and dynamic videos that create an indefinite and deep backdrop.
