RCS Group joins with MEET DESIGN to the Celebration for the 150th Anniversary of the Unification of Italy; an initiative dedicated to the Italian design, that became all over the world an icon of creativity and innovation. There are three parts of MEET DESIGN: Meet Show offers an important historical show that presents a very huge selection of pieces, through an uncommon critical view. It comes a transversal cross-section of the typologies of design from 1948 till today, where the extraordinary job of Italian designers and businessmen emerges; Meet Talents is the stage dedicated to the young people and their vision.
Twenty young Italian designers present in this occasion unpublished projects, specifically conceived for this event; Meet People organised with international known designers and enlightened businessmen. It foresees a rich programme of meetings and debates with the aim to divulgate and deepen the knowledge of this sector of the Italian Excellence. Rome will be the first stage of this big event, from 16th September till 13th October 2011 this exhibition will be hosted in the Mercati di Traiano Museo dei Fori Imperiali; it will be then in Turin from 04th November 2011 till 25th January 2012 in the extraordinary location of Palazzo Berlazone di San Fermo. The curator of this event Marco Romanelli included, among the objects that narrate the history of the Italian Design from the end of the Second World War till today, Frida the wood chair designed by Odoardo Fioravanti that was awarded of the ADI XXII Gold Compass ADI.
