PEDRALI - The Italian Essence

I Maestri del Paesaggio 2017 - Cool Landscape by Lodewijk Baljon

07/09/2017

From 7th to 24th September 2017, Bergamo will be transformed into a stage of nature and beauty for the 7th edition of the "I Maestri del Paesaggio" landscape show. These eighteen days of open-air cultural pleasure with a green theme include photography competitions, music, stands, and land-art routes through picturesque alleyways, cloisters, gardens, and pathways.
The schedule is designed to enable meetings and reflections with the most famous landscape starchitects invited to the International Meeting of the Landscape and Garden, this year dedicated to the theme of "Cool Landscape" aimed at stimulating reflection on global warming. The set-up at Piazza Vecchia, the heart of the event, is designed by the international landscape artist Lodewijk Baljon, decorated with iconic products from the Pedrali outdoor collection: Nolita armchairs, chaise longue, and tables along with Island armchairs and poufs.

Green Design
Green Breathe - Pedrali all’Antico Lavatoio by Lucia Nusiner

A green lung at the heart of the city. Pedrali embraces the philosophy of the event and transforms the suggestive square of the Antico Lavatoio into a convivial garden, where furniture and vegetation harmoniously blend with the surrounding environment. Visitors can sit on comfortable Dome armchairs, designed by Odo Fioravanti, or take a break from the daily hustle and bustle on a Reva sofa, by Patrick Jouin, or by immersing themselves in the atmosphere of this corner of Upper Bergamo that is made even more magical by the light of the Giravolta lamp, designed by Basaglia Rota Nodari and inspired by lanterns from olden times. The objective of Pedrali, in full harmony with the organisers of "I Maestri del Paesaggio", is to educate people about beauty, choosing the green route in all its urban designs involving the magical and picturesque spaces of the squares and corners of Upper Bergamo.
